The manifesto forms a core part of my practice as an artist. They allow me a written location in which my thoughts, expression and emotions can exist. Like a snapshot of my mind at a precise moment in time. Written automaticaly, the unconscious associations and sub-text permeates through these writings, giving rise to bizzare juxtapositions and semantic imagery.
Written at times of heightened involvement or sensory overload they have their own history running parrallel with my own. Often referencing intrinsic symbols which have appeared again and again, they map a continuous world in which my own is intrisicly intertwined.
